Dr. Kolten R. Kuntz a fourth generation optometrist
Dr. Kuntz was born and raised in Helena, Montana where his early exposure to eyecare began under the guidance of his great grandfather, the original proprietor of what eventually evolved into Montana Eye Care.
As a child, Dr. Kuntz started assisting his father in the laboratory, crafting glasses. Eventually, he became a certified ophthalmic technician. This hands-on experience sparked his desire to pursue a career in eye care, driven by a passion for providing essential vision services to the community.
Dr. Kuntz left Montana headed to Cheney,WA to complete his undergrad degree at Eastern Washington University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He then completed his Doctorate of Optometry at Midwestern University in Pheonix, AZ in 2014.
During his fourth year of Optometry school, Dr. Kuntz completed an externship in "The Diagnosis and Treatement of Dry Eye Disease" at the Schwartz Laser Eye Center and Horizon Laser Vision Center located in Scottsdale,AZ.
Dr. Kuntz then moved back to the Northwest area to complete a one-year post-graduate residency program in Ocular Disease, Contact Lenes, and Low Vision Services through Pacific University at the Veterans Affairs medical Center in Spokane,WA.
Dr. Kuntz provides Comprehensive Eye Care to all ages and is experienced in managing and treating ocular diseases including patients with chronic drye eyes. Dr. Kuntz is licensed in Idaho, Washington and Montana and is passionate about providing quality customized care in the inland northewest community.
Dr. Kuntz resides in beautiful Coeur d Alene,ID with his wife Hayley and son Klay where they enjoy the outdoors and exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
